Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!! Rosh Hashanah!
What? Is it the New Year? YES!! The Jewish New Year!
What is Rosh Hashanah? It means ‘Head of the Year.’
“Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year…It is both a time of rejoicing and of serious introspection, a time to celebrate the completion of another year while also taking stock of one’s life.” This is because the Rosh Hashanah starts with two days and leads into 10 days of Repentance known as the Days of Awe and culminate to the Day of Atonement.

Understanding the times and seasons.
Part of running a business, marketing a product, or just plain living in life requires understanding the right time to do something. As some may say, “Timing is everything”. It doesn’t help to do the right thing at the wrong time. We need to nail ‘timing.’
In Ecclesiastes - the famous words of Solomon are sung by the Beatles.
A time for everything under the sun.
“There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.”
- Ecclesiastes 3 (NIV)
In the book of Genesis, it is mentioned that God created the stars in the heavens to mark the seasons, days, and years. There are real cycles and appointed times.
So, what is the time right now?
It is the New Year! It is a celebration! Rejoice and also reflect. It is an opportunity to look back on the past year and look forward. Be encouraged by the things that were accomplished. Look back and remember the trials you have overcome. Celebrate the relationships you have built and the new ones that have come into your life.
Part of this also requires an introspection of oneself and one's accounts. Review your business, review what needs to go, and cast out the old. Review your processes. Reflect and change.
Review your business and your personal life.
[] Business - Finances/ Processes/ Marketing
[] Personal - Spiritual/ Health/ Financial /Social
Is there anything that needs to be strengthened, or reinforced, anything that needs to be focused on? Review the year and look at what good has come forth. Thank God for the many blessings in your life. Be encouraged on where you have grown and make concrete plans with milestones to take new ground.
Happy New Year!! May you have a good and sweet New Year.
